There is lot of speculation and wrong notion about the ideal time to take the Bitsat exam.
You might get different advices from every person who thinks himself to be a master of judging when there is going to be the easiest Bitsat exam paper(relatively easier).Remember that Bitsat exam spreads over a month ( starts on 9 May and ends on 12 June) and considering the randomness of questions generated from the question bank any day is good to write the exam.
You write the exam when you are most comfortable.Your final marks don't depend on your exam date rather on your level of preparation.
Ideally this time would be when you don't have any other exams around and you have ample time to spend on those topics which are specific for Bitsat.But if you keep it too late you might not have enough determination to study and if it is too early you might not have sufficient time to prepare.
Ask for my piece of advise it should be some where at the end of May so that you can get to know about the current level of questions,practice decently attempting as many online tests as possible(you can get some here Get Free BITSAT Sample Papers - Click Here ) and reading those extra topics which might be crucial in increasing your score at the end.

ReplyDeleteAs per the previous year cutoffs a score of 270+ would guarantee you a seat in one of the campuses of Bits.But to get very good degrees a score of 300+ is a must.
ReplyDeleteFor getting a score above 300 it requires you to be good with basics....By basics I mean basic formulas,basic concepts - you need not expect a very very tough JEE kind of paper but a normal paper with many formula based and some tricky questions.

ReplyDeleteThe first thing to do is call the Admissions office and tell them about your problem.
ReplyDeleteThey can search for your details based on your name in the application form.
If you dont choose you the test date and time they will randomly allot you an available test date and time which is never preferred.
As given in the website "If you do not remember your application number, you may call 01596-242205 (during office hours) for help."
Sire what are the extra topics in bitsat compared to aieee or what are the topics not covered in bits compared to aieee. Also could we get more sample papers- please
ReplyDeleteI will put a detailed list of topics to concentrate on in the later posts...As of now prepare seriously for your 12 exams......preparing from NCERT books is a must for all engineering entrance examinations...

ReplyDeleteThe good thing about Bits is we dont have fixed number of seats for any discipline....For example the computer science seats varies from 90-110....so if 2 people get the same score and opt for the same discipline they are most likely to get computer science....say if there are 20-30 people at 330 and all apply for compsci and if they cannot accomodate all of these 20-30 no one will get compsci but a lower degree :)...generally the probability that two people with same score apply for same discipline in same campus is very less

hello sir. how do you prepare for eng- esp the grammer section since we don't have grammmer in cbse in 12. also suggest a site for logical easoning tests.

First of all, sorry i HAD posted this question in the wrong page.. anyways do they change the TEST DATE on request . The reason --> Clash of date with another entrance. Is it too late to change the test date?

Thanks a lot.. I will surely call them up tomorrow, today being sunday. Its not an actual clash. There's 2 day gap between my BITSAT test date and ASSAM CEE. But i got to travel from assam to kolkota and back again by train which is proving to be a problem. I just hope they do it orless i m not giving Assam CEE as BITSAT is too important to me. Thanks anyways.
