All India Engineering Entrance examination commonly called as AIEEE is an entrance examination into the National Institute of Technology(i.e. NIT's) and many other engineering colleges in India.Some of the famous colleges are IIIT-Hyderabad,Dheerubhai Ambani.It is written by 10 lacs students making it the biggest engineering entrance examination in terms of the participating students

AIEEE does not have a fixed format and may surprise you - but the best thing to do is prepare yourself for all kinds of twists and write the paper with an open mind rather than having a pessimistic approach to the paper.



The AIEEE 2009 examination will be held on 26 April,2009.

Undoubtedly AIEEE is the single most important exam for your BITSAT preparation.

Both AIEEE and BITSAT are MCQ(Multiple Choice question) based question papers with equal importance on understanding the concept and application of the concepts.Your speed in solving the problems plays a crucial role in deciding your final rank.Both follow NCERT syllabus with Maths being more practice oriented and Chemistry based on memory questions.

While AIEEE gives equal weightage to all topics,BITSAT which is based on random questions from each topic may result in concentrating highly on one topic and not on other(though authorities say they are working to reduce this randomness and trying to accomodate equal number of prblems from each topic).

On the whole your AIEEE exam will be good step to prepare for your BITSAT.

If you rectify the mistakes you have done in AIEEE you will surely get a very good score in BITSAT.(doesn't mean you make mistakes in AIEEE :) )

  1. hello i m rohit from madhya pradesh my problem is i think i will not get above 80% marks in my board exams i m hoping it to be in between 75 to 80. will i be eligible for it if i get 75 to 80 percent marks in boards and 300+ in bitsat is it necessary to get above 80 percent in boards to get admission in bits campus

    Anyways if you get less than 80% in PCM you are not eligible....Even if you get 79.99999% you are not eligible...you must get 80% and above

  6. @Sri Ram : Less marks in Physics means you have bad basics...try studying topics from books like HC VERMA and solve the theory problems at the end of every chapter(you need not solve the lengthy problems for now...only theory bits...The theory bits are very tricky and will stimulate your thought process :) which in turn is helpful to crack BITSAT)

    And every topic is important for BITSAT.who know you may get the maximum questions from electricity??

  7. what is the ideal time to finish syllabus if the paper is in 2 week of june....what is the ideal marks one should get in it so one can get his like branch

    The ideal time is May 25....and then revision of topics...start practicing papers 10 days before exams....atleast 1 per day
