On popular demand here are the branch wise cutoffs for Bitsat 2008 after the final iteration(fifth iteration) .Note that this was the first batch for Hyderabad campus and the cutoffs are bound to increase

  10. sir my bitsat exam is on may 28th.i m sure i wont crack iit and aieee so this is my final chance and at any cost i want to crack bits.so please tell me that how should be my strategy for these 22days and what should be my plan of action and is there any subject wise cut off for bits?and sir will i be selected if i get 300+?

  11. @aakansh: Your AIEEE and JEE performance dont matter....Just spend ther time judiciously...If you cross 300 you can get a decent degree

    There is no subject wise cutoff for BITSAT

    As for strategy try to revise the topics...just note down the errors you made during your AIEEE paper.....revise the topics in which you are regularly committing mistakes....

  15. @Anonymous : Firstly there is no ranking system for BITSAT

    And no you cannot get admission if your PCM score is less than 80%....even if it is 79.9995 it is not possible...you must have 80% and above

  17. @Anonymous : You have to apply online....and then you will be told if you are selected or in the waiting list....by july 1

    There is only online counselling...you dont need to come to Pilani/Goa/Hyd campus for counselling

  23. @Anonymous : You must give a preference order...Goa is a very good college...it has all the facilities and by the time you pass out it will be 9 years old...dont hesitate..as for Hyd campus it will take some time to develop but it is also a good college..but I would take a decision based on performance in other exams also

    And read other posts before commenting...I have written clearly that the cutoffs are bound to remain almost same..so you shld be getting duals in all campuses...read the post about dual degree before taking any decision...and comment only under one section not at multiple places....it is irritating

    @269: Doin duals is always a profitable deal..A simple question if you were offered CompSci @ Goa will you reject it????

    With a dual degree you have a chance of getting good engineering degrees as duals provided you work hard work for one more year...no hard work no duals

  41. When will the official cut off pattern be available in the bitsat site?
    I have a silly doubt!Please bear if it is irritating.
    Suppose in one branch,not many students opted and vacant seats are there.Will they reduce the cut off in that case.Mainly,because many who performed well might opt for IITs as there are new ones as well.
    So what basically is going to be the criterion?

  50. how low can the cutoffs be for three campuses.comparatively hyedrabad campus is not much developed as compared to the other two.so can't the final cutoffs be something around 200-205 or so.i got 163 in aieee.do i have any chance to get a good college .

    According to last years cutoffs no branch with this score unless cutoffs dip drastically (unlikely).

    ECE or EEE seems highly doubtful.Try for Msc in some campus and with your first year score try for EEE or ECE as your engineering degree in the second year.

    IN pilani campus except Computer Science everything.Computer science is doubtful though not impossible.IN other campuses, every branch on offer is available to you!Cheers!Congrats on your score.

    Except B.pharm or biological courses.Keep all your options open for now.Dont lock your options in a hurry.Carefully think on your decisions and ask other people about them.YOu have a lot of time for locking in our options for AIEEE.

    and there is one more question...my frnd is getting 318..but he is not getting above 80% in PCM..which is a total surprise....so he is thinking of re-evaluation...which i suppose takes a month...Will BITS consider him if he clears 80% in the reevaluation...even if it is after the last date for applying??
