GodParents - Help the underprivileged children

GodParents is a non-profit organization with a primary focus on upliftment of the underprivileged children in India.

Today, several NGOs are active across the country, directly providing children with basic education, nutrition, sanitation etc, thus empowering them with the confidence and skills to take control of their future.

Being a scattered and largely unorganized sector, NGOs often find themselves in a predicament dividing time between raising funds and helping children. Godparents.in aims at assisting such NGOs by raising funds for them, and allowing them to concentrate on what they do best.

Bachelor Degree on line | Degree Programmes Online | Bachelors Degree on Internet

Lately there have been many universities giving online degrees for Masters in Sciences and MBA. Most of the online degree are for Computer Science. This has been a great revenue generation for universities, especially foreign ones which do very minimal work. Though there have been many questions about the quality of education, some of the online degrees are indeed valued.

But that is the trend for Masters degree or Diploma courses, not for Bachelors degree.Bachelors degree on line is not an advisable choice. One needs to have a close look at the difference between class room teaching and Degree Programmes online.

So beware of any crazy advertisements which offer Bachelors degree on internet or any online course. Just do some research before opting for an online degree.

Improving learning ability using Graphics Organizers

Graphic Organizers comprise pictorial or graphical illustrations in order to organize
data and perceptions for better understanding and memory. The knowledge imparting
potential of graphic organizers has made them powerful tools that enhance learning and
teaching. The formula behind graphic organizers is the popular adage ‘pictures speak
a thousand words’. While graphic organizers are ideal tools to enhance the learning
capabilities of children, it also is useful in higher educations and businesses to easily
understand and solve complex problems.

The following are some of the very familiar forms of graphic organizers used in
educational as well as business areas. Clock, wheel description, flow charts, goal &
reasons, hierarchy chart, ice cream cone, idea rake, pyramids, food chain, ladder, step-by-
step charts, time line, family tree, Venn diagram, and the like.

There are several advantages of using graphic organizers. First, graphic organizers have
a variety of choices and are flexible to your needs. They can provide you with crystal
clear picture of what you need to understand. Apart from enhancing learning capabilities,
graphic organizers are also thought provoking in nature and kindle the creativity in you.
The crisp titles and short explanations provided in them can assist you in retaining the
concepts in your memory for a long time. Any complex concepts can be easily learned
with graphic organizers.

While the above are ideas that discus the use of graphic organizers in learning, graphic
organizers also has a great impact on teaching side. Teaching of basics has been a very
challenging job especially to young learners. Although the ability of the teacher plays
a significant role in imparting the knowledge, graphic organizers make the job easy for
teachers. This is why educational authorities have been encouraging teaching aids in
primary schools, of late.
